Five $500 USD cash prizes. Path One (agent on Sanity Context/Knowledge Base via MCP) has 3 winners. Path Two (vibe-coded app with a Sanity backend) has 2 winners. Each winner also gets a DEV++ membership and an exclusive badge, and every valid entry gets a completion badge. You can submit one post per path. Rules say a tie is broken toward a participant who has not already won a path, which implies one person could win both paths ($1,000 max), but that is not stated outright.

Gotchas
- Deadline mismatch: the rules say Oct 4 11:59 PM PDT, but the challenge page's Live/Ended status flips to Ended at Oct 4 23:59:59 UTC (4:59 PM PDT). Treat 4:59 PM PDT Oct 4 as the safe cutoff.
- The general rules require development to have started during the Entry Period (on or after Sept 18, 2026). A pre-existing project repurposed for the contest is technically ineligible.
- Sanity Knowledge Bases are an opt-in beta capped at 150 indexed documents. One commenter hit 'plan limit for indexed documents is reached ... Upgrade the plan'.
- The field is already crowded: about 117 tagged posts / 96 authors 8 days before close, many polished 'agent that refuses to hallucinate' entries. Path Two has only 2 prize slots versus 3 for Path One.
