Expensify 'Help Wanted' per-issue bounty ($175–$250)
When it actually closes
The program has no end date and no time zone is stated; GitHub timestamps are UTC. For each issue, proposals may only be posted after the "Help Wanted" label is added.
Prizes
$500 max single award
One fixed price per issue, paid only to the contributor who is hired and whose PR ships. The price is in the issue title; if the title has none, the current standard amount applies. Currently open Help Wanted issues are titled $175 or $250. Newly filed External issues default to $175. Other amounts seen: $125 (#102188, #75258) and $500 (#98624). Rules: "The number of PRs does not change the job price." You can ask the C+ to request an increase.

Gotchas
- Windows close fast: on #100368 a proposal was picked about 4h52m after Help Wanted, and several proposals land the minute the label is added.
- 15-18 proposals per issue is typical, and each new one must be meaningfully different from all earlier ones.
- MelvinBot (Expensify's AI) posts the first proposal on many jobs and is reviewed first, so human proposals mostly matter only after Melvin's fails.
- Many Help Wanted issues close with no payout because they could not be reproduced in the weekly known-issue retests (e.g. #97866, #95627).
